As an integral part of your home or business security stategy, deadbolts provide both safety and functionality. There are two basic kinds of deadbolt. Single cylinder, those operated with a key on the outside and thumbturn on the inside and double cylinder with key operation on both sides. Doors with glass panes call for a double cylinder deadbolt to prevent someone from breaking the glass, reaching in and unlocking the door.

They kick in the door.	Maxum's high security strike plate has a special box design with 2" screws that anchor the strike directly to the building structure.	Maxum exceeds both Grade 1 and Grade 3.
They pry with a crowbar.	Maxum's hardened steel bolt and bolt throwing mechanism are surrounded by a heavy-gauge tubular steel housing for maximum resistance to crowbar attack.	Maxum exceeds Grade 1 by 7% and Grade 3 by 150%.
They wrench off the lock.	Maxum's solid brass collar spins under pressure so wrenching motion doesn't work.	Maxum exceeds Grade 1 by 100% and Grade 3 by 500%.
They hammer the lock.	Maxum is solid brass and is secured with high-tensile steel mounting bolts for maximum resistance.	Maxum exceeds Grade 1 by 150% and Grade 3 by 1150%
